Briana Gonzalez is a first-year graduate student working towards a Master of Library and Information Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is specializing in media archives and audiovisual preservation, with an interest in film programming and curation.

Briana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media from Mount Saint Mary’s University, where she specialized in writing and worked as an editor for MSMU’s Athenian Print. Her writing specializes in film and music criticism, personal essays, and portfolios on niche subcultures in the city of Los Angeles.

Briana is also an avid zine maker and collage artist. Aside from personal work, she has created flyers/posters for clients such as Bleachers and Whammy! Analog Media. In her free time, Briana likes to draw, roller skate, and watch movies. She is a former contributor for Rookie Mag, with work printed in Rookie Yearbook 4 and NYLON, a design assistant for Advanced Perspective, and a volunteer radio DJ for Moon Glow Radio and Beloved Radio. She has additional experience in video production and editing.
